Coastal Hazards and Adaptation Team (CHAT)’s Outreach Survey
Your input is needed to inform the Coastal Hazards and Adaptation Team (CHAT)’s flood adaptation outreach efforts in Hampton!
CHAT has met monthly since 2019 to discuss and investigate vulnerability to flooding and opportunities to increase resiliency in Hampton. The group is made up of representatives from Boards and Commissions in Hampton, Planning and Public Works staff, the Hampton Beach Area Commission and Hampton Beach Village District, the Seabrook-Hamptons Estuary Alliance (SHEA), and two resident representatives. CHAT is developing a comprehensive outreach strategy and seeks your feedback.

Fireworks are held on the beach beside the Atlantic Ocean. Bring a blanket and the whole family to experience the magic of the night sky lit by a display of beautiful fireworks. This is a special 8 p.m. shoot to take place on the Saturday of the Seafood Festival. This evening of fireworks is organized by the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Unitil.

Ragnar Reach the Beach (RTB), happening Sept. 17-18, 2021 is more than a relay race; it’s an overnight adventure, yearly tradition and community celebration all rolled into one. And as always, NO volunteers are required.
Start your adventure in Bretton Woods, NH, where your team will run along alpine lakes, rolling hills, covered bridges and scenic expanses. From ski slopes to the beach, there’s nothing quite like New England in the fall, and you’ll get to experience every mile of it.
As the East Coast’s oldest running relay, this race boasts some of our best community support, with decorated exchanges, volunteers in full costume and even neighborhood block parties. We couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome for our amazing runners.
Finish the race at Hampton Beach, yes it’s really right on the beach, with your entire team crossing the finish line right along with you, cheering you on in celebration. Join the finish line party, complete with music, medals and fun and then dip your feet in the Atlantic Ocean to reflect on what you were able to accomplish. Get additional information here.

• Please stop for pedestrians at all crosswalks.
• Pedestrians please use crosswalks for your own safety, all crosswalks are well marked with signs and striping.
• Open containers of alcohol are strictly forbidden on the streets and on the beach.
• Fireworks for private use are not allowed in the Town of Hampton.
• Fires of any kind are not allowed on the beach.
• Glass containers are not allowed on the beach to prevent cuts.
• Dogs are not permitted on the State of New Hampshire beach.
• Please use the bags provided to pick up your dog’s waste, stations with bags are near stairwells to the beach.
• Please dispose of your cigarette butts in proper containers located at beach stairwells.
• Help Hampton maintain our 5 star rating by taking any trash and disposing of it in our trash and recycling containers.
