Event Details

Fireworks are held on the beach beside the Atlantic Ocean. Bring a blanket and the whole family to experience the magic of the night sky lit by a display of beautiful fireworks. Come experience the crisp and clear fireworks of winter and ring in the New Year!

Ring in the New Year with your family at the beach on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Don't miss the spectacular fireworks over the sandy beach and their reflection on dark, vast Atlantic Ocean. Let the magnificent display take your breath away, and make this a family tradition for the New Year. This event is free for everyone.

There will be a special New Year's Eve fireworks display, sponsored by the Hampton Beach Village District, on the beach at the top of B-C Streets. This is a family-fun event so the fireworks will begin at 8 p.m. The fireworks are especially impressive in winter because the colder weather provides for a crisper, clearer view of the pyrotechnics display. The restrooms at the Sea Shell Stage will be open to the public for this event. There will also be entertainment on the Seashell stage by D.J. Mike Evans from 7-8 p.m.

The Blue Ocean Discovery Center will also be hosting an Open House from 7-9 p.m. They will provide refreshments, courtesy of the Hampton Beach Village District, at their facilities at the top of D Street. Come visit their two 100-gallon touch tanks, take part in family-friendly activities, touch starfish and view rare, multi-colored lobsters. Your kids will enjoy learning about the unusual creatures that populate our oceans and have an exciting opportunity to touch them too. The goal of the Blue Ocean Society is to protect marine life in the Gulf of Maine by inspiring action through research and education. For more information, contact the Blue Ocean Society at 603-431-0260.

In addition, the State of New Hampshire, Division of Parks and Recreation, will host an Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31st, on the 2nd Floor of the Sea Shell Pavilion at Hampton Beach State Park. Refreshments will be served and fireworks will begin at 8 p.m. If you would like more information regarding this event, please call 603-227-8717.
