A Celebration of Irish Music Come to the Seashell Stage and listen to Irish Music from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. The afternoon and evening will include performances by the following Artists:
Jinty McGrath is a highly sought-after Irish musician in the Greater Boston area. For the past 3 years, Jinty has climbed the ladder in Boston's music scene.
Simon Lace is a traditional Irish musician based in Boston, MA. Hailing from Northern California, he got his start in music learning rock and jazz but was exposed to Irish music from an early age through the traditional music community of his hometown, Nevada City. While studying composition and jazz at San Francisco State University, Simon honed his guitar and banjo skills in the SF Bay Area trad community. Since moving to Boston, his sophisticated banjo and guitar playing has made him a fixture in the Irish music scene, and he can be regularly heard playing at pubs such as The Burren, The Druid, Emmet’s, and more. In addition, he has taught at programs such as CCÉ Boston Music School and Lark Camp Online, and won 1st place at the 2023 and 2024 Mid Atlantic Fleadh on banjo, mandolin, and accompaniment. Simon has also toured the US and Australia as featured guitarist with A Taste of Ireland Dance Company. Simon regularly collaborates with other musicians in the greater Boston Irish music scene, and is available to provide live Irish music for any occasion. Gerald Ahern is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Dublin Pike, Cork, Ireland. He has been a musician and vocalist since childhood. He appeared on primetime Irish television in 2011 performing on The Late Late Show with songs like “Say You Love me” clocking 3 million views on Youtube. Following that he went on to open for artists such as Ryan Sheridan and Picture In 2018 Gerald and his musicians headed to Parr Street Studios in Liverpool to record his first album “From the Streets of Pana to Grand Parade”9 and has clocked over 100,000 streams on Spotify. , Gerald and his band have been busy gigging and playing support for artists like Billy Ocean, Aslan, and The Hot House Flower. One of the many highlights on the road was playing warmup for The Academic in front of 5000 people in their hometown at the Live at the Marquee Festival. Ahern and his band soon returned to the recording studio where the worked with legendary Irish producer Philip Magee on their new single 'Home in 5”.
